10 Random Facts About Me:

1. I've been told that I have an interesting heritage, I'm African and I'm Greek and my family is spread out all over the world, from Congo, to Argentina, to America and etc.

2.  I had one of my poems that I wrote in school, published in a book and have sort of accomplished my dream of being a published writer.

3. I can't watch scary movies or shows or read scary stories, I just don't handle those images well. Even though I know full well in the moment how it's all fake and done with CGI and etc., I can't convince myself that later on at night.

 4. I enjoy watching documentaries of any kind, whether it's about the animals of the world like Earth, people like I AM or celebrities like This is It, they're really interesting and the majority of things I know about the world, I have learned through watching documentaries.

5.  I adore mythology (Greek, Roman, Celtic, Egytpian etc.), and I've read the various myths and legends over and over again. So, I also love the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan and all the other spinoffs, because they're just great!

6. I love old Broadway films, I've grown up watching classic movies and actors probably ever since I was in the womb. So unlike most people my age I can sit down and watch a movie in black and white.

10. In my family, I'm the eldest sister by 8 years. I'm very maternal when it comes to my adorable younger sister, which is kind of funny because often times when my sister and I go out into the world, because of my height we're mistaken for mother and child!

My Answers to the Questions Asked:

1. What is the most amazing place you have visited?
Mykonos, it was literally like stepping into another world. The food there was great, the beach was beautiful and the water was so blue! Also I rememeber that walking through the island (especially at night), was almost magical and a great place to visit.

2. What makes you pee your pants from laughter?

This one is a hard one, because I laugh a lot at some of the silliest things ever as well as at actual funny things. However, it's a tie between the following three things:

1. The What's Up With That? segment of the SNL Christmas special epsiode (the one with Samuel Jackson and Martin Short).

2. A Rick Mercer epsiode where he makes fun of it snowing in Toronto.

3. Whenever my friends and I renact as scene from the Hannah Montana, "Mobster Mama" episode.

3. What is the craziest (or best) thing you have eaten/drank?
The craziest thing that I've eaten would have to be calamari, which is just octopus tentacles. Although, I know for some it's not that wild but I really don't have any soft spot for octopuses (ever since the Little Mermaid with the sea witch Ursula). So, I was a bit reluctuant and then it ended up being one of the best things I've ever eaten.

4. What is one TV show you cannot miss?
I cannot miss Glee, I love it and I am a total Gleek!

5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
It's another tricky one for me, I either live in Bordeaux, France. I love France and I have been to Paris several times too! Also I speak French, the rest of my family and the majority of our family friends do as well, so I really love the culture, the architecture, the fashion, the food and etc. Also because it's in Europe and if I wanted to visit, England or something, I could just drive there!

6. What's your favorite meal?
My favorite meal is fried plantains, Quiche and Moussaka (a traditional Greek dish that my dad always makes) and for dessert a slice Vanilla Quatre-Quart (a.k.a Pound cake), strawberries and Oolong tea.

7. If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?
~ I would wish for good health (in all aspects of the word) for myself, my family and friends.
~ I would wish for even more good luck, because with good luck, I think that more wishes come true on your own.
~ Finally, I would (if permitted) wish for more wishes or, I would wish for a very big prosperous farm. That way I can grow my own food, start a successful business and sell the rest of the produce and I could build a nice home there with my family too.

8. What's one interesting tradition your family observes?

At Easter time, my family and I paint eggs and decorate them and then at the end of the day we play a special game with them. We all take some eggs and then we take turns hitting one side of the egg against the other and then the winner gets to face another opponent. At the end, the winner is suppose to have good luck.

9. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
I like the sense of community that comes with blogging and how fun it is to have a voice. It's great to be able to write something and have an opinion on something that someone else from across the world can agree with. It's amazing that perhaps something that I write might inspire someone else, brighten someone's day or simply make them stop and think, "Huh, I never thought about it that way?"

10. What's the best new-to-blogging advice you've received thus far?
The best advice that I've received is to stay true. I've read that it's important to find your base niche and what you really want to focus on so that the people who come to read every day or week, know what to expect. Also for yourself, so you're not blogging about something that you don't even like or know the least bit about.
