Growing up in today's world can be pretty hard for us teens. You have to deal with school, friends, crushes, money, family, clothes, etc. On top of all that, you have to take care of yourself, ex: clothing, bathing, hair, etc.  Also, you have a to deal with puberty and all the physical and emotional changes that it brings as you grow up. So, it's not hard to understand why so many of us stray down the wrong path or have a miserable teenage life.  But I think with the right support from family and friends, a positive mindset and point of view and good people to look up too, all the inner and outer turmoil of growing up can be less chaotic and   less roller coaster like and more like a slightly bumpy road.

See if most teens (especially girls) looked up to people who they can relate to instead of choosing role models, that have a look, lifestyle, body, etc. that is totally unattainable, we would have  a lot less problems in the world. The way I see it, is that once teens have positive models to look up to, we start to feel better about ourselves. We start to understand ourselves more and learn to appreciate ourselves and the world around us, instead of beating ourselves up for everything that we see in ourselves that we may not like or want to change. We also start to learn to fight all the negative thoughts coming from our peers, society and even ourselves. So, when we see someone who we think may be a lot more attractive than we are, we don't sit there and think , " Uh! She is so pretty! Why don't I look like her? I'm so ugly!" Ultimately, having a positive role model helps us to love ourselves more, which is something we all need to do. In the end, if we don't love ourselves, how can we expect anyone else to.
To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."
